Today, while sitting in the back of the car I was riding, I did a search to call a store to inquire about a product. All happened on my phone. No advertising book. It’s not surprising that the old yellow page book advertising is being replaced by social media marketing strategy.
Outbound Marketing is History
That book I was telling you about consisted of over 1500 pages of advertising. Most of no one ever looks at.
It can be overwhelming to get your small or medium business to implement a social media marketing strategy. Whether you like or dislike the change, it is here to stay.
We, as consumers no longer want to put up with “in your face” advertising. In a recent study by Hubspot, 84 percent of 25 to 34 years old abandoned a website because of intrusive advertising.
What does that mean? Your outbound marketing spending is likely to be a waste of money. So, what do you do? Well, there are several very easy steps you can take. But we are going to focus on only one at this time.
Make Blogging Part of your Social Media Marketing Strategy
Simple as that. Don’t know what to write about? Chances are that each and every person in your company is a candidate to write a blog entry. Start with a phrase.
Let’s use this article as an example. I started with the keyword phrase, “Social Media Marketing Strategy”. As you look through the article, it becomes obvious, doesn’t it?
You can write from a few perspectives. Key is to write about a topic that is helpful to others.
The article doesn’t need to be long. Well, just long enough to tell your story. Most blog articles are 200 to 800 words long. Try to keep it more than 300 words.
